About Me

I started this blog as a way of building an online community of current and past Ivy Tech paralegal students, as well as letting people interested in our program know what we're up to. This blog is not sponsored by Ivy Tech. No way, no how.

My name is Linda Kampe, and I'm the program chair of Paralegal Studies in Lafayette, Indiana. My office is in Ivy Hall 1166. Stop by and chat. For best results, make an appointment, so I know to expect you. And if you bring your own cup, I'll make you tea. Because hey, we're not animals.

Ivy Tech Day at Exploration Acres

Details from Kat (in student life) about this coming Saturday's Ivy Tech Day at Exploration Acres. Take the family--or a date! Have s'mores! Get engagement points! What more do you want?

Hello Presidents and Advisors,

I wasn’t planning to send this info out to the groups, but I’ve now had a couple of requests for it. So, might as well! Please share with your members.

Campus Activities Board is sponsoring a day at Exploration Acres, the corn maze not far from campus. From 12pm-1pm on October 1st, any student (or employee) and two non-Ivy Tech guests can get in for FREE to farm! Your wristbands will be good for the rest of the day. We have a fire pit reserved from 2pm-5pm. Feel free to drop by. I’m sure smores will happen! This event can be a really great team building opportunity/social activity for your student organization. If you or your members are interested, please sign up in the Student Life Office. Or feel free to email me, and I’ll add your name to my list.

A couple of important things to remember:
·         To get in free, you must check in between 12pm and 1pm on the 1st.
·         You also MUST bring a current Ivy Tech ID to get in free.
·         If you have more than 2 non-Ivy Tech guests, the cost for each additional guest beyond your two is $7.50. The cost can be paid at the group admission window.

Feel free to comment--but all comments will be reviewed by me before they get posted. I will not post anything scurrilous about Ivy Tech students, faculty, or staff, or about members of the local community. Truth is not a defense. This just isn't going to be that kind of blog.
