About Me

I started this blog as a way of building an online community of current and past Ivy Tech paralegal students, as well as letting people interested in our program know what we're up to. This blog is not sponsored by Ivy Tech. No way, no how.

My name is Linda Kampe, and I'm the program chair of Paralegal Studies in Lafayette, Indiana. My office is in Ivy Hall 1166. Stop by and chat. For best results, make an appointment, so I know to expect you. And if you bring your own cup, I'll make you tea. Because hey, we're not animals.

The Russians Are Beating Us?

Yesterday's announcements sparked a flurry of people checking in. No surprise there.

Most of them were from Russia.

Okay, now I'm perplexed.

Alumni Lunch

It's time for another alumni lunch! Let's meet next Wednesday, July 27, at noon-ish. How about Red Seven this time?

Fall Semester

Speaking of deadlines, it's time to make sure you've registered for your fall classes. If you need help or advice, contact me within the next week or so. I'll be out of town August 2-9.

My standard advice to almost everyone is to take Litigation (LEGS 200) and Legal Writing I (PARA 204) if you haven't already done so. (Or if I haven't told you that you don't need Legal Writing I.)

Job Openings

Yes, I know that I have been remiss in keeping up the blog over the summer. Sigh. But there are TWO--not one, but TWO--open paralegal positions at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse. One is actually for a Paralegal, and the other is listed as Case Manager in the Prosecutor's office.

The deadlines are approaching fast!
