No, not college seniors! Senior citizens. Here's a chance to bond with mom and dad, or grandma and grandpa, or maybe your spouse (but then DEFINITELY don't use the phrase senior citizen), learn about the field of elder law, register for door prizes, AND get engagement points. It doesn't get much better than that!
Wednesday, October 5, the Greater Lafayette Senior Fair will be taking place at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. Local attorney Monica Doerr will be giving a presentation on Elder Law at 1:00 p.m. She knows her stuff. Monica worked as a pharmacist for several years, and watched people struggle to understand their Medicaid and Medicare benefits. She decided she could do people more good as an elder law attorney, so she returned to law school. Even if you don't have a senior citizen to bring with you, it would probably be worth stopping by.
If you do have a senior citizen to bring, there will also be free health screenings, entertainment, and door prizes. Lunch is being served by MCL Cafeteria. The fair itself lasts from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Feel free to comment--but all comments will be reviewed by me before they get posted. I will not post anything scurrilous about Ivy Tech students, faculty, or staff, or about members of the local community. Truth is not a defense. This just isn't going to be that kind of blog.
